William I’Anson Ltd are pleased to offer, The Ex-Mike Anthony, Mike Pendleton, Gerry Marshall, Goodwood Sussex Trophy Winning, TUF 1, 1959 Lister Costin Chevrolet and Jaguar. Widely considered one of, if not, the most original Lister Costin left in existence.

With a long, well documented, and continuous history. Raced extensively in period by Mike Anthony and Mike Pendleton in the UK at circuits such as Aintree, Goodwood (for the 1959 Whitson Trophy), Brands Hatch and the Autosport 3 Hours at Snetterton. Mike Anthony also ventured as far afield as the Roskilde Ring in Denmark and won the Sportscar class at the 1959 Brighton Speed Trials.

It has the distinction of being raced both as a Lister Chevrolet and Lister Jaguar in the first two years of its life, thus giving you the choice of running both, as different owners have done through its long career. Initially road registered TUF 1 it is now back on its 1960 UK road registration YCD 422, with accompanying V5.

Raced and owned in the late 1970s by Gerry Marshall, winning the Lloyds & Scottish Historic Championship, for then owner Geoffrey Marsh of Marsh Plant Racing, in 1979. Later an absolute front runner in the hotly contested BRDC 50’s Sportscar Series in the hands of then owner Julian Bronson, as well as a regular at Goodwood, winning the 2004 Sussex Trophy in the car.

Having been prepared by M&C Wilkinson since 2016, It has continued to be a regular in the Sussex Trophy at Goodwood and winner of the 2020 Motor Racing Legends Stirling Moss Trophy at the Silverstone. Current FIA HTP’s means this car would be an ideal entry into Le Mans Classic, Goodwood and Stirling Moss Trophy hosted by Motor Racing Legends. Accompanied by a comprehensive set of history files and an extensive spares package, including de Dion tube, wheels, and a body buck.

Being sold with one of a very small batch of Jaguar supplied 3.8- litre, wide angle, dry sump engines, built by the factory competition engine builder George Hodge for either D Type or Lister use.
