William I'Anson Ltd are pleased to bring the exceedingly interesting Ex - Keith Greene, Ian Raby 1962 Gilby Formula 1 to market.

The Len Terry designed, privateer Gilby Formula 1 car which was a regular on the national and World Championship Formula 1 scene through the early ‘60s.

Veteran of the German Grand Prix with Keith Greene, complete with stack-pipe BRM V8 engine.

A podium finisher in the 1963 Rome Grand Prix at Vallelunga with Ian Raby who campaigned it through that season.

Sold to Alan Rollinson before going to Barry Winyard who competed at Castle Combe while fitted with 1,500cc Coventry Climax FPF. Later fitted with a Buick V8 and raced on the sand in Jersey before being returned to England by Ian Bax and restored by Peter Denty with Lotus Twincam engine.

Bought by the current owner in 2004 and restored with 1,500cc Coventry Climax FPF by Sean Danaher, David Brazell and John Sabourin. With just two races since engine and gearbox rebuild, the Gilby has recently raced with the HGPCA.

Eligible for the popular Glover Trophy at the Goodwood Revival and the Monaco Historic GP.
