Chassis No #861014 was first registered in 1962 and now comes to market as a freshly built, zero-hours FIA / HTP E-Type 3.8 FHC completed to the very highest of standards and in the right hands could prove to be very competitive. Available due to a change in direction by the current owner, the Jaguar has been assembled around a new Rod Jay ( RJ Panels ) shell with alloy bonnet, boot and doors with motivation provided by a brand new Crosthwaite & Gardiner 3.8 engine utilising an all-alloy block with a wide-angle alloy head with dyno readings showing 380bhp, mated to a four-speed gearbox and differential from Denis Welsh Motorsport. With final assembly being placed in the hands of renowned XK Engineering, as you would expect, the attention to detail is exceptional with the list of contributors reading like a ‘who’s who’ in Motorsport circles; Crosthwaite & Gardiner, Denis Welsh, Rod Jay, XK Engineering, Ben Clowes, and Custom Cages amongst others.
