Technical info

Full description

This well prepared  Jaguar has been one of the most successful racing E-Types for the past decade. Originally built to full FIA semi-lightweight specification by OC Racing in 2013, using a new monocoque and all new parts, the E has been updated and developed ever since and has an impressive specification, including:

• Steel tub with aluminium bonnet, hardtop, doors and boot lid. Safety Devices roll cage
• Latest spec engine with aluminium block, wide angle head, wet sump, billet crankshaft, forged rods, lightened flywheel, triple plate clutch and 48 Weber DCOE carburettors. Approx 12 hours use since last rebuild
• 4 synchro close ratio straight cut gearbox
• Recently rebuilt steel cased differential with Salisbury LSD.

The car had a proven record of success, particularly in the hands of Martin O’Connell. It competed in Masters, GTSCC, the Goodwood RAC TT and won an all-E Type race at Oulton.

The E has subsequently had a comprehensive nut and bolt rebuild by Hall & Hall and Valley Motorsport, with a full photographic record. Run by Neil Fowler Motorsport and driven by current owners Tony and Charlie Best it has once again competed successfully in high profile races across Europe.

Always professionally prepared and run, this highly competitive and reliable Jaguar is offered complete with detailed history files, current HTP papers, correct 1962 V5, 4 spare wheels and tyre and a selection of running spares.

Easy to use, a needed approach for sure and I like the concept. Will continue to use this efficient platform and excited to hear that a new ‘drives available’ category is on the way.
