1963 Lotus Elite to FIA Specification

William I'Anson Ltd are pleased to offer for sale this beautiful little FIA Specification, 1963 Lotus Elite.

This car was originally delivered as a RHD UK-supplied and known to the Club Elite register since 1969, with a documented history including years spent in Modena, Italy and certified by Club Elite Registrar David Blacklidge back in 2018.

Converted to a Pre-’63 lightweight race car with support from JRT Racing and Hi-Tech Motorsport utilising all new, high-spec components, whilst retaining the original body shell. Fitted with an FIA Specification roll cage by Custom Fabrications, and a unique Ferrari-special paint finish by Normandale’s.

Powered by a CES-built 1220cc Coventry Climax FWE mated to a four-speed ZF gearbox. The engine benefits from only running-in and test miles with less than 50 miles and only two test days under its belt.

Accompanied by FIA HTP papers valid until 2030 and eligible for GTSCC, Motor Racing Legends and Goodwood events whilst also boasting a road registration, this opens the opportunity to compete on some of the best historic rallies and tours such as the Modena Cento Ore and Tour Auto.
