Technical info

Full description

Following on from the great success of Tony Pond in 1985; particularly highlighted by their 3rd place finish behind the Lancia S4s of Marku Alen (2nd), and Henri Toivonen (1st), on the 1985 RAC; another works car was to be built.

C99 K0G was registered on 22nd April 1986 to Austin Rover.  Wilson and Harris managed their best result – a fourth overall finish at the San Remo Rally in 1986.  After its 17th place finish overall on the RAC in 1986, C99 K0G was sold immediately and stored away by a UK collector in its condition post Rally.  The next owner sent the car for a full mechanical restoration in 2004 but it was to retain its battle scars from the RAC of 1986.  Soon after in 2006, the car was competed with at The Goodwood Festival of Speed.

With a straight line ownership direct from the works team, retaining its original full works spec mechanicals and the works carbon Kevlar panels from the 1986 RAC, this is an unrepeatable opportunity for a very original ex works Group B rally car.

This car is complete with a wonderful history file including original V5, original insurance green card from period, Austin Rover spec sheets, magazine features and of course invoices from its maintenance over the years.

Just letting you know that the Viper GT3 sold a couple days ago via a lead picked up on Motorsport Showroom. It really is a huge amount easier communicating with leads through your platform.
