Originally founded in 1976 by Walter Wolf and brought to fame by Sheckter, Rosberg and Hunt, the Wolf brand was reborn in 2009 as an initiative by Italian entrepreneur Giovanni Bellarosa.
The first Wolf GB08 debuted on 25 April 2010 at the Misano circuit on the opening of the Italian Sports Prototype Championship. Ivan Bellarosa dominated the entire weekend and went on to win the championship.
In the years thereafter other GB08’s won among others the Asian Le Mans series, the Belgian Belcar series, the Australian Prototype series and Pikes Peak.
Wolf GB08-11 started its race career with the French Ibanez team and participated in the 2012 24 hours of Zolder with Kaufmann, Dupont, Lagrange and Thiers.
In 2021 the current owner had the entire car rebuilt for the Zolder 24 hours.
13 hours into the race they were forced to give up due to the consequential damage from a malfunctioning air sensor at which point they were in 9th position overall.
