The Austin Healey 100 was introduced at the Earls Court Motor Show in 1952 to huge critical acclaim. Production ran from 1953 to 1956. Approximately 80% of all 100 production was exported to America. In period many were used as weekend race cars in countries all over the world, where they normally punched well above their weight in sports car races. XVP is an American export car, an original & desirable BN2 model. This race car was built on a new chassis 3 years ago by Woolmer Classic Engineering. Still immaculate & one of the very quickest 100’s in the country.

The bodywork is a mixture of aluminium & steel & is in excellent cosmetic condition. 

The specification includes:

·         Built to full FIA specification.

·         Fitted with a new chassis.

·         WCE full race specification engine with 2 hours use since full refresh.

·         Carburation is from twin 1 ¾” SU's, The exhaust is a WCE full race system.

·         BN2 straight cut close ratio gearbox with uprated overdrive. 

·         Rebuilt ‘open’ diff as required to meet FIA specification.

·         A pre-engaged high torque starter motor is fitted, along with a light weight Dynator.

·         High ratio steering box with safety column.

·         Full race WCE specification suspension.

·         FIA Dunlop front disc brakes. Rear drum brakes with WCE race spec. linings.

·         100ltr alloy foam filled fuel tank with twin pumps. 

·         Two spare matching wheels, fitted with used Dunlop Racing tyres.

·         Period style, new alloy race seat.

·         TRS Ultralight Harness & Lifeline extinguisher, both in-date.
