The replacement for the F430, the 458 Challenge moved the game on significantly. The larger capacity 4.5-litre V8 delivers 562bhp and a new 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox produced seamless gear changes via the paddle shifters. Like the F430 before it, the 458 Challenge focusses on extensive weight reduction with the use of thinner body panels, carbon-fibre and the removal of all non-essential interior items, including trims, carpets and sound deadening. An FIA-approved roll-cage, carbon-fibre seat and 6-point harness are also added.  Once again centre-lock wheels are fitted, along with Lexan windows and the car now features rear air jacks for easy access in the pits. The last of the naturally aspirated V8 Challenge cars, the 458 Challenge production was limited to just 150 units.

This race car has been fastidiously  maintained by pro race team RNR and is fully prepared and ready to hit the track.  Delivered in February 2012, it is not only ‘ready-to-race’, but also benefits from having had a compete overhaul in 2020 including a new gearbox, engine rebuild and new wiring loom.  This impeccably maintained 458 Challenge has the credentials to make it a serious contender.  Note – this car is currently fitted with a second seat should you wish to use it for passenger rides on track days.
