Full description
This 1:1 scale replica car depicts the Scuderia Ferrari 312T car driven to a Formula One World Driver’s Championship title by Niki Lauda during the 1975 season. The replica is made from fiberglass and wears the #12 red and white livery. Features include centre-lock wheels, Avon racing slicks, a fixed-back seat, a replica gated shifter, a quick-release steering wheel, and faux instrumentation.
The Mauri Forghieri-designed Scuderia Ferrari 312T debuted at the 1975 South African Grand Prix and secured 6 victories and the Constructors title with drivers Clay Regazzoni and Niki Lauda at the wheel, the latter of which also won the World Driver’s Championship title that season. This 1:1 scale replica of the #12 car was constructed using fiberglass, and it wears a red and white Scuderia Ferrari Formula One Team livery with sponsor logos including Goodyear, Agip, Heuer, and Magneti Marelli. Additional details consist of front and rear wings, a wrap-around windscreen, black-finished side mirrors, a faux air intake, and a replica rain light.
The multi-piece 13″ wheels feature gold centres and are mounted with a scrubbed set of staggered-width Avon racing slicks. The simulated braking system includes cooling ducts and four-wheel discs with the rear units mounted inboards. Faux coilovers and quadruple cylindrical pipes mimicking exhaust outlets are installed out back.
The cockpit houses a single fixed-back seat finished in black. The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel is mounted on a quick-release hub and fronts faux instrumentation including a tachometer along with gauges for water temperature, oil temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The car measures approximately 14′ long by 7′ wide.
