- Acquired twenty years ago by our vendor, this much travelled car would appear to be an Evo VI, the legendary Tommi Makkinen Edition
- However, further research suggests that this car may in fact be an Evo V that has been dressed in homage to the TME
- The history file shows the chassis number begins # 000 #, whereas, we understand, that the appropriate number on a TME would begin with #020#
- Our vendor has at some time been told it may have been a prototype but has never been able to definitively establish that to be the case
- Either way, our vendor has loved this car for around 20 years, and justifiably so as it's a smartly presented, well equipped and well cared for example of the legendary Lancer Evo
- There are no negatives here, this is a very desirable motor car that's been correctly guided given the information above. Consequently, we suggest that any prospective bidder inspects the car and its history file to satisfy themselves as to its provenance as no debate will be entered into post-sale
