Full description

2005 Ford Mustang FR500C - 004
“Win on Sunday, sell on Monday”
Low Mileage Factory built Race car
Eligible for The Masters GT Trophy
And of course, every track day
FIA GT4 homologation

In 2004 The Ford Motor company commissioned Canadian Powerhouse Multimatic to design and build a series of race cars based on the already rather special Mustang FR (Ford Racing) 500 and codenamed it the FR 500 C (Competition). Among Ford executives the car was also affectionally known as the “Boy Racer”.
Multimatic was challenged to come with a concept capable of winning the IMSA Grand-Am cup a.k.a. the Koni Challenge which is exactly what the car managed to do in 2005 and 2007.
In Europe the FR500C, known for its reliability and cost effectiveness became a popular entry in the SRO regulated GT4 series.

Today the FR500C makes a great entry for the new “Masters GT Trophy” as well as a spectacular Track Day car.
Incidentally the very wet 2023 Spa Masters GT Trophy Race was won by a FR500C which goes to show that the rigid 8.8” rear axle makes for good traction and grip in the wet!

The car on sale is the 4th car built by Multimatic out of a total of only 48 and was raced by Ford Dealer Brad Lehmann for Champion Motorsports in 2007 and only covered 4000 Miles.
In 2011 the car was sold to Europe where the car only covered a couple of hundred miles in 2 track days.

Included in the sale is a file with period documentation including the original sales invoice from Multimatic, set up sheets and the Hemmings magazine of December 2005 extensively covering the car and driver/owner Brad Lehmann.
